Portea has mushroomed from nothing to 5,000 employees in three years to become the biggest homecare group in India. Whilst 65% of patients are elderly, Portea now seeks to meet all the non-acute needs of a typical family including primary care, diagnostics and chronic disease. Ganesh looks at the Indian elderly and homecare markets and how they can be segmented. Portea has 200 staff working on digital health solutions and he goes on to lift the lid on the group's offerings from remote consultations to e-monitoring and even predictive healthcare.
