We are about to release a Special Report on diagnostics

For many of us, August is the time of year to take a breather, whether that is jetting off for a break at the beach, or taking some time to relax at home.

Alas, not so for us in the editorial and data teams here at HBI!

We have instead been hard at work bringing together the latest edition of our new sector reports, endeavouring to pull together the latest market insights, trends, and emerging opportunities.
Next week will therefore see the launch of the HBI Diagnostics Special Report, a comprehensive analysis of the European diagnostics sector.

This eagerly anticipated report offers in-depth insights into the current state of the industry, emerging trends, market activity, and key challenges facing the diagnostics sector in Europe.

The special report draws upon a wealth of resources, including HBI’s proprietary intelligence platform, expert insights uncovered at our HBI 2024 conference, and valuable input from external partners, for a multifaceted examination of the diagnostics landscape.

At the heart of the report is an exploration of the significant transformation currently underway in the diagnostics sector. Technological innovation, evolving market dynamics, and changing healthcare needs are converging to create a landscape ripe with both challenges and opportunities. As some national markets approach consolidation saturation, forward-thinking industry players are increasingly looking beyond both physical borders and technological boundaries for growth.

Our report delves into several key business and investment trends shaping the sector, including:

  • Automation, artificial intelligence, and nuclear medicine.
  • Operational Innovation, from ‘dark labs’ and teleradiology, to ‘phygital’ practice.
  • Workforce challenges.
  • The role and limits of consolidation.
  • Changing patient demographics, and what that means for sector growth.
  • Emerging regulation governing AI in healthcare

We believe that the HBI Diagnostics Special Report 2024 offers invaluable insights for anybody, be they a provider, investor, or supplier, navigating the complex and dynamic diagnostics landscape.

We encourage our HBI Intelligence and HBI Connect subscribers to explore the Special Report upon its release early next week.
In the meantime, we in the HBI editorial and data teams are off to enjoy what we hope is a sunny weekend in London! We hope that the weather is good wherever you find yourselves, too.
