Ambika Jindal

What’s a sustainability strategy without integration and implementation into the business and decision making? A hope or an add-on at best. Ambika’s team helps convert strategy to real action in ING’s wholesale and retail banking businesses and across other functions. The team focuses on three key topics- climate, nature and human rights.

Prior to this, Ambika worked in ING’s Sustainable Finance team where she structured green and social bonds/loans and sustainability linked loans. ING also seconded her for 2.5 years to the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs to lead a Prime Minister sponsored program to value water. She initiated a Valuing Water Finance Taskforce (representing USD 9.8 trillion AuM and growing) focussed on integrating water considerations in their investment decisions.

Ambika has her Master in Sustainability Leadership from Cambridge University, UK, where she is also a guest lecturer on applying systemic transformation strategies in business. She has an International Business degree from the U.S. She has previously worked as a Bloomberg journalist in Mumbai, and a salesperson for a Wall Street forex company.

Ambika feels grateful to live a happy and healthy life in Amsterdam with her partner and two sons.
