Dr Michael Achtelik

Currently Dr Achtelik is Head of Global Accounts for Ophthalmology at ZEISS Meditech, prior to which he held various positions within ZEISS: Head of Digital Innovation and Digital Transformation; Managing Director, Germany; Sales Director Surgical Ophthalmology and Diagnostics, Germany.

From 2011 – 2013 Michael was Director of the cardio segment of GE Healthcare Germany, and before that he served various positions in cardiology at Medtronic EMEA and Germany.

Between 1986 and 1992 Michael carried out his medical training at the University of Bochum; Technical University, Aachen; SSKM Hospital Calcutta; Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School; and cardiology and cardiovascular training thereafter at the University Hospital Bochum and Hannover Medical School.
