Carlos – Managing Director | Head of Lending & Strategic Finance: Carlos oversees lending activities in Spain and Portugal, managing a portfolio exceeding €7 billion. With over 20 years of experience in the financial industry, Carlos has been responsible for the rollout of principal credit strategies and sector-based financing solutions, including initiatives in Healthcare, Sustainable, and Leveraged Finance. Passionate about fostering connections and designing solutions to propel growth and business transformation, Carlos is particularly dedicated to navigating the transition to a low-carbon economy of ING clients. Carlos’s team structured the first sponsor-backed ESG-linked term loan in Europe. Beyond his role at ING, Carlos is a founding partner of Reaction, a global venture capital investment platform focused on health, technology, and climate innovation. Carlos and is an alum of Stanford University (Stanford Executive Program) and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business and Finance from CUNEF and Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
