The price of keeping up with care costs?

People are living longer, more sedentary lives, and these are unsurprisingly characterised by an increase in chronic diseases. You might expect that as a population ages healthcare spending as a percentage of GDP will have to go up. There are, after all, surely limits on the efficiencies which can be made. CVC to buy back Quironsalud?
Rumours circulate that Quironsalud, the Spanish hospital subsidiary of hospital chain Fresenius Helios, may be sold to private equity firm CVC or KKR, HBI hears. But others say the new CEO of Helios' parent, Fresenius SE, is unlikely to go for the strategy and suggest the dialysis arm could be put on the block instead.
