HBI Awards 2017: Coaching users to optimum health through an app

Roadtohealth has developed a health and lifestyle app, Quealth. It is based in Nottingham, UK, with 2015 sales of £2.8m.

Quealth is a direct-to-consumer health and lifestyle improvement app, focused on the prevention of five, prominent, non-communicable, lifestyle-driven diseases – type 2 diabetes, six forms of cancer, cardiovascular disease, lung disease and dementia. It allows the user to see how their lifestyle puts their future health at risk, to set personal health goals and it coaches the member to their optimum health. Quealth uses proprietary, clinically-validated health risk assessments and coaching drawn from the latest behavioural change science, developed in association with leading academics.

The unique algorithms which Quealth uses helped them differentiate them from the rest of the nominations in this category. Quealth has a big number of active users (110,000) with a constant increase in users health score.
