Patient summaries and e-prescriptions to be shared across the EU by 2018

The exchange of patient summaries and e-prescriptions will go live across 20 EU member states from 2018. Aiming to create what it calls a "digital single market, the European Union is trying to boost public and private sector involvement in eHealth.
