Saudi’s biggest recent transactions

Vivek Shukla, interim chief commercial officer at SEHA (Abu Dhabi Health Services company), gave a presentation at a webinar HBI recently hosted in which he listed some of the biggest mergers and acquisitions that have taken place in the Saudi Arabian health care market in recent years.

Shukla listed six major acquisitions that have taken place since 2016. However, only five target companies were involved in these six deals, as NMC Health was bought twice. Of the five companies , three were in the hospitals sector, one was in the dental sector and one was in the post-acute rehab sector.

Shukla also listed four IPOs that have taken place since 2020, as well as two IPOs that are planned to take place in the near future. However, only two of these companies (Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Services Group and Tibbiyah) are health care providers:
