Using the web to communicate
Often, the medical professional is bad at communicating with laypeople. So it’s worth taking a look at this wellness-focused website. Just spend ten minutes looking at what Mark Hyman, a booster for functional medicine, is up to. I haven’t seen a medical site aimed at laypeople that comes close to this one.
It is also worth looking at one or two of his Youtube videos. I am completely unqualified to tell you whether what he is saying is scientifically or medically correct. But that is not the point – he is extremely good at communicating.
I am not saying what he does is perfect – the questionnaire really should allow you to answer ‘don’t know’ as well as ‘yes’ or ‘no’ – but it is extremely easy to use.
