In an early version of the PAI buys SAR story we conflated propcos, opcos and 2015 EBITDA and suggested that PAI had paid a giddy 15x EBITDA multiple.

In fact, private equity house PAI Partners is buying a 100% stake in Spain’s largest care provider Sarquavitae for an enterprise value of €440m. This is roughly a 12.7 times the expected 2016 EBITDA multiple.

The deal for the opco is said to include property valued at €190m. A further tranche of property is to be sold seperately in a deal which takes the total paid for SAR to around €550m.
