Key Graphic: Digitalisation and consumer behaviour is changing healthcare

Digitalisation and consumer behaviour is changing the healthcare market, as this infographic from Yrö Närhinen, CEO of Terveystalo, shows.

As attendees at HBI 2018 heard during his presentation, the age of passive doctors, waiting for patients to assess on largely on the symptoms they present with on the day is giving way to a far more proactive, preventative, holistic approach.

Automation and big data are combining to provide a digital solution to customers needs, and the use of enriched big data is driving personalised healthcare; disease surveillance, aggregated patient health information, computation and analysis and machine learning are leading to personalised healthcare and better population health management.

Beyond treatments, this digital environment can also facilitate personal health plans and makes it much easier to measure quality.

You can see all of Närhinen’s inciteful presentation, Using Big Data to increase patient engagement and health benefits, here.
