This week’s infographic looks at the top 10 European PE deals in healthcare services in 2024, based on HBI data.
For each deal, the infographic shows the PE investor on top and the acquired provider below with its 2023 revenue.
France had the most deals, accounting for four of the 10. The UK followed with three transactions, while Spain accounted for two. Austria and Italy accounted for one each.
Fresenius completed its divestment of Vamed this year, selling a 67% stake to PAI Partners for €600 million. Additionally, Fresenius also sold fertility provider Eugin, to IVIRMA (a KKR portfolio company) and GED Capital for up to €500 million.
Other significant deals include Exponent’s purchase of Kingsbridge Healthcare for £300 million, acquiring a majority stake, and Ardian’s acquisition of a 60% stake in Vista Vision Group. Lastly, Groupe HLD took a 24.3% stake in Clariane.
