This week’s infographic looks at sector allocation across the leading European healthcare real estate investors, drawn from HBI’s Healthcare Property Investors Ranking.
Elderly care (residential) dominates the landscape, with 86% of the investors in our ranking having investments in this segment. Adult care (residential) and post-acute rehabilitation are jointly the next most common: about 57% of the investors are present in each of these areas. For-profit hospitals feature in just under half of portfolios, while psychiatry and mental health and primary care remain more niche sub sectors with only 33% and 24% of the investors present in these areas, respectively. Child care (residential) is the least common areas, with just two of the investors having investments in this sector.
