Building strong outpatient networks is essential for all Europe's large private hospital groups. That reflects a payor-led shift away from inpatient care, but outpatient networks will also enable hospitals to get closer to patients and to build much more powerful brands. But building outpatient is a huge challenge as margins are far lower. Here Romain explores these issues and how a combination of telemedicine and outpatient will transform care delivery.
