The HBI Hot Private Equity List— coming January 2026
In January 2026, HBI will publish its first-ever Hot Private Equity Firms List, spotlighting the investors most active in healthcare deals globally. Built from publicly available portfolio disclosures and announced transactions, the list identifies the private equity firms deploying capital across healthcare services, life sciences, medtech and digital health.
Rather than a simple ranking, the Hot List is designed as a who’s-shaping-what guide to healthcare private equity, showing which firms are backing transformation, consolidation and growth across the sector.
The Hot List will profile private equity firms based on their healthcare deal volume and notable portfolio companies, analysing the sectors and segments they target most actively including pharma services, healthcare IT, medtech, outpatient and specialist care, homecare, and broader health infrastructure. It will also highlight clusters of interest, such as firms pursuing tech-enabled care, asset-light models, or platform roll-ups, and examine their country-wise distribution.
