Top private equity deals in fertility sector (Q1 2023 – Q1 2025)
This week’s infographic breaks down the major private equity deals in fertility from Q1 2023 to Q1 2025.
KKR led with its massive $3.8 billion buy of IVI-RMA Global. BPEA EQT wasn’t far behind, spending around $650 million on Indira IVF. IVI-RMA Global then bought ART Fertility Clinics for $450 million, with Astorg acquiring Hamilton Thorne for $228 million.
Fertility is proving to be a highly investable segment. With consistent demand and solid margins, the sector’s fundamentals are promising. We are seeing the whole industry reshape itself, with small neighbourhood clinics being consolidated by bigger, more tech-focused operations better able to operate at scale.
As people wait longer to have children and fertility care becomes less stigmatised, PE firms are recognising the investment opportunity.
