The lab market has seen huge growth since 2018 at 35%, thanks largely to the significant role the market played in COVID-19 testing. Its five largest players – Synlab, Sonic, Cerba, Unilabs and Biogroup (all in EMEA only) – added an extra €1.9bn in sales, taking an extra 2% of the market.

For nursing homes, Korian, Orpea, Domus Vi, Colisee and Barchester, have added €2.1bn in sales since 2018. They have consolidated the most: taking an extra 4% of a market that has grown at just 2.6% in two years.
