The UK’s private dental market has seen significant corporate consolidation over the past decade, with private equity playing a central role in shaping the competitive landscape. The five largest for-profit groups now collectively generate close to €2 billion in revenue annually.
Revenue growth across the group remained steady between 2024 and 2025, underpinned by growing demand for dental services and the increasing dominance of privately funded dentistry in the UK. Mydentist and PortmanDentex together account for the lion’s share of corporate provision, though mid-market players such as Rodericks are growing at a faster relative rate.
