How the dentistry market has changed since 2012
IDH has been the largest dentistry player in Europe since 2013 and still sits about €100m ahead of its closest competitor. This week HBI assesses how the league table of the continent’s biggest players has moved in the past eight years.
Dentix, which remains for sale, is perhaps the biggest mover and shaker in the set, growing from €60m revenues to close to €500m. Meanwhile, the revenues of one of its touted suiters Vitaldent have halved from around €400m in the past eight years, according to local press.
Mid-players Bupa, Praktikerjanst, Colosseum Dental and European Dental Group are today tussling but most have seen slow and stable growth. Colosseum is the only one to grow its revenue 10-fold.
