emeis’ share price rises 34% after release of annual results

Pan-European listed French nursing home group emeis may have turned a corner in its long recovery from the scandal that hit the company in 2022. Its share price has climbed 34% since the release of its annual results on February 6, which emphasised improving occupancy and resident satisfaction despite net profit still being negative.

Assura rejects fourth takeover offer from KKR

Listed UK healthcare REIT Assura has rejected a fourth offer from US PE firm KKR. The most recent bid was a joint offer from KKR and UK pension fund Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) of £1.56 billion (~$2 billion). Assura says this undervalues the REIT.

KKR, a US-based private equity firm, is reportedly set to acquire a 51% stake in Bengaluru-based cancer care provider HealthCare Global (HCG) from CVC Capital Partners, according to multiple media reports.
