The Brazilian lab group, Hermes Pardini, will sell 40.2m shares with an indicative pricing of BRL17.50 to BRL21.50. At the upper bound, the company is valued at BRL864.3m (US$274m).

HC-One’s chairman warns of wave of UK care home closures

The chairman and CEO of the UK’s fourth largest care home group by sales, HC-One, has told Healthcare Europa that the latest funding arrangement for the industry is not enough and will lead to more closures. Dr Chai Patel, former owner of the Priory Group, believes “the government is coming up with new ideas” and also revealed HC-One is no longer considering sale and leaseback deals.
