Karify provides cloud-based ehealth software which enables mental health practitioners to track the progress of their clients. It has 26,000 patients in its home Dutch market and claims to be growing patient numbers 12% month-on-month. The product can be used to initially test symptom severity, offers a set of exercises, tailored medical information, tackers and diaries. It is even a place to go in an looming crisis. For instance, an alcoholic tempted to drink, can go online and find routines and exercises that he has already discussed with his practitioner. Karify is now expanding into Spain, Belgium and the USA and is being used by patients with different psychological problems and disorders, but can also be used for recovering from traumatic acute episodes such as breast surgery. We talk to Joris Moolenaar, a clinical psychologist, about the sector, naming competitors, and discuss artificial intelligence.
