Excess deaths force cost cutting at Fresenius Medical Care

Dialysis patients are dying from COVID at increasingly high rates at Fresenius Medical Care, forcing the provider to slash 5,000 jobs and target €500m cost savings annually by 2025. NHS England to require COVID-19 jab for job

All 1.2m of NHS England's staff will have to be vaccinated against COVID-19 from next year, reports say, with an official decision expected from the government imminently. Similar laws elsewhere in Europe have only led to minor problems for healthcare workforces but data shows that UK private providers expect to replace on average 8% of their workforce. 

Dallah Healthcare to buy stake in IMC after Amanat exit

Dallah Healthcare Company, a listed Saudi Arabian healthcare operator, has signed an agreement to buy 8.2% of the shares of a hospital in Jeddah, International Medical Centre (IMC). The move is part of Dallah Healthcare’s plan to gain a more than 25% stake in the hospital and increase its presence in Jeddah.
