Healthcare-focused private equity firm ARCHIMED has acquired Barcelona-based Institut de Radiofarmàcia Aplicada de Barcelona (IRAB), a developer, manufacturer and supplier of PET radiopharmaceuticals used in medical imaging, clinical trials and biomedical research.

Huron acquires RelateCare from MML Ireland

Huron, a Nasdaq-listed global professional services firm, has acquired AI-enabled clinical and patient access solutions provider RelateCare from private equity firm MML Growth Capital Partners Ireland.

Terveystalo buys Finnish ophthalmology provider Silmäasema

Terveystalo, Finland’s second-largest private hospital group, is buying Silmäasema, a Finnish eye-care and optical retail company, for ~€574 million (partial share-swap deal). The seller is private equity firm CapMan Growth. €275 million of this will be paid in cash, and the rest will be funded through 36.5 million new Terveystalo shares.

Bridgepoint to acquire Obagi Medical from Waldencast

Mid-market private equity firm Bridgepoint Group has agreed to acquire US-based Obagi Medical, a dermatological skincare and aesthetics business, from Nasdaq-listed beauty and wellness group Waldencast, for an enterprise value of up to $460 million (~€399.00 million).

Cooper Consumer Health acquires Ferrer’s consumer health business

European consumer healthcare group Cooper Consumer Health has acquired the consumer health business of Spanish pharmaceutical company Ferrer. The deal strengthens Cooper’s presence in Spain, where it already works with more than 20,000 pharmacies, and expands its portfolio in a core European market that has become increasingly important to its growth strategy.
