Rethinking large hospital business models

The traditional hospital inpatient business model is being challenged, and large hospital groups in particular are having to rethink their approach. India's second-largest for-profit hospital chain Max Healthcare has raised 1,200 crore ($160m) in a Qualified Institutions Placement (QIP), almost the exact same amount as Apollo Hospitals did in January.
