Rival Filipino conglomerates Ayala Corp. and MPIC pour millions into healthcare

Ayala Corp., one of the largest conglomerates in the Philippines, is to launch a network of 100 outpatient clinics in the next three years. Called FamilyDoc, these facilities will contain a pharmacy as well as diagnostics and lab units – even a shop, aiming to cater for the primary care needs of a growing middle class. Georgia Healthcare Group to IPO in three weeks

The Republic of Georgia’s dominant private healthcare operator plans to list on the London Stock Exchange in the first week of November 2015. Talking to Healthcare Nova, Georgia Healthcare Group CEO, Nikoloz Gamkrelidze also confirmed it expects to raise $100m in the primary listing and a secondary listing may follow. The money will be spent on 20-30 new ambulatory care clinics and renovating two hospitals in Tbilisi, as Georgia continues its journey towards universal health coverage before next year’s election.

NMC Health shares rocket on deals in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah

NMC Health, the second largest private hospital and outpatient group in the UAE, has tightened its grip with two acquisitions with a combined enterprise value of $100m. The announcement saw NMC shares leap 7.3% in three days, adding £210m to its market capitalisation.
