GE HealthCare invests $138 million in Ireland to meet rising ICM global demand

The US-based med tech giant GE HealthCare is investing $138 million to expand its contrast media manufacturing site in Cork. Iodinated contrast media (ICM) are injectable diagnostic agents which enhance the visibility of organs, blood vessels, and tissues during X-rays and CT scans, playing a key role in diagnosing conditions like cancer and heart disease.

Apollo Radiology International acquires InHealth’s radiology unit — highlights India’s growing global healthcare footprint

Apollo Radiology International (ARI), a provider of interpretative and clinical radiology services to healthcare networks in India and worldwide, has partnered with InHealth Group, the UK’s largest provider of diagnostic solutions. As part of the partnership, ARI has acquired the radiology reporting unit of InHealth Group, while InHealth has become a shareholder in ARI.  

Affidea acquires Sermesa polyclinics in Valencia

Affidea, the pan-European provider of community based clinics, advanced diagnostics, and specialist services, has announced the acquisition of Sermesa polyclinics, a well-established healthcare provider in Valencia, Spain. Healius sells Lumus Imaging to Affinity 

Australian diagnostics group Healius has sold its imaging division, Lumus Imaging, to pan-Asian PE firm Affinity Equity Partners, for A$965 million (~$655 million).
